Slow-Cooker Banana-Nut Oatmeal

Say hello to your new breakfast bestie: the crockpot. Use it to make our simple slow-cooked banana-nut oatmeal by adding pantry staples like oats, milk, nut butter, banana and honey. This satisfying breakfast will keep you full for hours.

    Slow-Cooker Banana-Nut Oatmeal

  • 1 cup steel cut oats certified gluten-free if necessary

  • 3 cup water

  • 0.25 teaspoon salt

  • 2 tablespoon almond butter

  • 2 medium bananas 120 grams each and peeled and sliced

  • 2 tablespoons honey


  • Lightly coat a 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Combine oats, water, milk and salt in slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

  • Spoon 1 cup (236.5 ml) of oatmeal into 4 bowls. Top evenly with banana slices, and drizzle with almond butter and honey.
