Plain yogurt is an excellent breakfast choice because it’s a probiotic (e.g. source of good bacteria), and contains a good dose of protein, calcium and vitamin D.

    Mango-Pineapple Yogurt Bowl

  • 1 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes

  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt

  • 0.25 cup diced pineapple fresh or frozen

  • 0.25 cup diced mango , fresh or frozen

  • 2 tbsp toasted walnut pieces


  • In a non-stick pan, toast coconut flakes over medium-high heat until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  • Assemble yogurt bowl by layering plain low-fat yogurt, pineapple chunks and mango chunks. Sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes and walnut pieces.
