Cinnamon Guava Oatmeal

Cinnamon and clove add warming, fall flavors to this oatmeal recipe. They pair nicely with the tropical fruit guava, which can be sweet or more tart depending on its ripeness.

    Cinnamon Guava Oatmeal

  • 1 red guava

  • 0.5 cup Quaker Oats

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 cloves

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Dash of salt

Directions

  • Peel the guava, remove the seeds and cut the flesh into small cubes.

  • Add the cloves, cinnamon and salt to a pot of water and bring it to a boil, adding the guava cubes once the water is boiling. Boil until the guava is soft and then add the oats. Stir well and continue to cook for 2-5 minutes.

  • Once oatmeal is your preferred consistency, pour into a bowl and top with a few more pieces of guava. Serve hot.
